He was predeceased by: his mother Olive Pearl Mowat (Porter); his brother William Glenn Mowat; his parent Wishart Raymond Mowat; and his parents-in-law, Sandra Webb, Patsy and Ken Lichty.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mowat (Kalka); his children, Brent Mowat, Paula Wardle (Alex) and Brittany Manulak (Jason); his grandchildren, Madeleine Wardle, Maresha Manulak, Spencer Wardle, William Manulak and Audrey Wardle; his sister Sharleen Mowat; and his parents-in-law, Edith Mowat, Nellie, Terry Doering, Giselle, Bill Kalka and Ray Webb. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
