He is survived by: his wife Pat (Davidson); his sons, Andrew, Robert (Michele) and Kirsty Carpenter; his grandsons, Nicolas, John and Thomas; his stepgranddaughter Megan (Chris); his sisters-in-law, Nancy Macdonald and Cicely Carpenter; his cousin Beth Coleman; and his caregivers, Eldon Mendoza, Dr. James Warren, Dr. Judith Hammond, B. P. V. G. H. and Charlie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
