We announce the death of Colette Marie Yen (Burnaby, British Columbia), who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 77. Colette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Low Wai and York Gook Fong; and her brother Joseph. She is survived by: her husband Peter; her children, Adrienne (Chris) and Taryn (Blake); her grandchildren, Kiana (Sterling), Malia, Emmie and Dylan; her siblings, Irene (George), Dave (Mary Grace), Maureen, Barbara (Norman), Suzanne (Lawrence) and Glenys (Dean); and her sisters-in-law, Rebecca and Evelyn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Parish (1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby, BC V5B3G2). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Legacy Heights (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1).
