Ella Niemela Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Ella Niemela (nee Aalto) announce her passing. Ella will be lovingly remembered by her son Kimmo (Carol); grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle), Denise, Deanne, Vesa (Kerry) and Timo; great-grandchildren, Cole, MacKenzie, Josh and Cassie; numerous friends especially Annikki Lintunen whose support the family is eternally grateful for.
Ella was predeceased by her husband, Eino, son Kari and daughter Kaija.
Ella will be remembered for her everlasting devotion to her family, her quick wit and mischievous nature.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Finnish Home in Vancouver for their kindness and loving care. Ella truly felt at home in this extraordinary residence. Special thanks to Tanya Rautava, nurses Lynne and Krystyna and care aide Gurjit.
A church service will be held September 6, 2019 at 11 am at the Emmaus Lutheran Church 6344 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, B.C.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Finnish Canadian Rest Home Association via the Canada Helps website (http://www.canadahelps.org).
