He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pietro Amendolia and Elisabetta Mendicino; his siblings, Maria, Diego, Giuseppe and Antonio; his sons, Pietro and Joseph (Guisella); and his siblings-in-law, Carmela Amendolia, Salvatore Pironaggi and Teresa Pironaggi. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
