He was predeceased by: his parents, San and Sadakichi; and his brothers, Toshihiro and Oscar. He is survived by: his wife Sachiyo; his children, Jon, Lynne (Ian) and Mark (Jana); his grandchildren, Sage (Niek), Jade (Jason), Kingsley (Rachel) and Alistair (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Pippa and Filou; and his siblings, Kazuko (Robert), Takeshi (Grace) and Buster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
