He was predeceased by: his wife Luisa; his siblings, Antonio (Maria), Albino (Elizabeth), David Gomes (Mavilde), Caetano Gomes (Judite), Josefina Nunes (Albino), Maria, Lucilia and Celina Maria; and his parents, Mauricio Novo and Maria Novo. He is also survived by his nephews, nieces, friends.
