It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Liberato Brillante (Burnaby, British Columbia), who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Catalina; and his siblings, Nicola, Mario, Aldo, Fortunato, Juan, Fermin and Elisa.
He is survived by: his wife Elena; his children, Patricia (Rodolfo), Saverio (Franca) and Estela (Travis); his grandchildren, Julieta (Eddy), Adrian (Arhona), Veronica (Cody), Kylie and Nicholas; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma, Anika, Ava, Ezra and Andre.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel (4276 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC V5C2J6). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ocean View Burial Park (4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4).
