Peter Zitko Obituary
In loving memory of Peter Zitko in Burnaby, British Columbia, who departed this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 89. Peter leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Peter may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Peter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ante Zitko and Cvita Zitko; and his wife Franciesca. He is survived by: his children, Tony (Malindi), Diana and Peter (Soula); and his grandchildren, Dario, Marina, Mikayla, Sophie, Ava and Sofia. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bell Burnaby Funeral Chapel (4276 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC V5C 2J6). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Church (3105 E 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5M1B6).
