He was predeceased by: his parents, Annunziata Palpizi (Aniello Filancia) and Savino. He is survived by: his children, Annunziata, Silvia and Nello; his grandchildren, Sofia, Niko, Enrico, Rafael, Aslaam and Nicole; his sister Pasqualina; his brother-in-law Fernando; his nephew Emmanuel; and his nieces, Nancy and Gina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Savino.
