Shiu leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shiu’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Shiu will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dean Yau; her son John; and her grandchildren, Brennan and Lauren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1835 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5L1T3). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 5:00 PM at 2163 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5L1V2.
