With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vera (Skokin) Gonzalez (Burnaby, British Columbia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jelena Živković and Jefta Ilkić; her siblings, Žarko, Mira, Bosiljka and Koviljka (Nemesio Gonzalez); and her former husband Marinko Skokin.

She is survived by: her children, Merima and Tom; her son-in-law Roberto; her grandchildren, James (Iain), Niki (Joseph) and Steven (Katie); her pet Miško; her friends, Jovanka Margan, Milena Panić and Milka Santrač; her sister-in-law Mira Bogosavljević; her friends, Greta, Milo Savković, Zlata, Stan Lazić, Agnes, Žika Naumović, Mita, Desa Vančić, Les, Natasha Bendo, Mike, Mitzi Mašković, Dušan and Jean Mašković; her pet Charlie; and her husband Nemesio Gonzalez (Tony).
