He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian; his son Sam; his parents, Sam Stewart and Wilhelmina Stewart; and his siblings, Jim Stewart, Dorothy and Eleanor.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy and Wendy; his grandchildren, Garett (Courtney), Chanda (John), Jaequelyn, Larissa, Stuart (Ali), Natasha, Bryce, Peter (Taylor) and Caroline; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Taylor, Damon and Jordan. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
