She was predeceased by : her parents, Fredrick and Gertrude (William); her son Rodney; and her granddaughter Mackenzie. She is survived by : her sister Ruth; her sons, William (Wendy), Michael (Danielle), Robert, Wayne (Amanda) and Corey (Suzanne); her husband William; and her friend Sarah Tremblett. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as siblings, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorcas' memory may be made to the Chemainus Pentecostal Church.
