She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Porter and Annabel Porter; her son Rick; her son-in-law Ron Gerbrandt; her sisters, Beulah Keeping (Clyde) and Rose Murphy (Melvin); and her brothers-in-law, Cecil Porter and John Kerns.

She is survived by: her husband Eugene Gale; her children, Sandy Gerbrandt and Rob Gale; her grandchildren, Lisa Halsall (Rod), Mandy Santos and Robbie Callender (Jess); her great grandchildren, Blaine, Ryanna and Bella; and her sisters, Alma Porter, Georgina Osmond (Keltie) and Annie Kerns.
