With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erna Ann Martens (Chilliwack, British Columbia), who passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her siblings, Hilda and John; her husband Nick Martens; her children, Shirley, Kelly, Wendy and Robert; her grandchildren, Scott, Peter Cave, Samantha, Matthew Warren, Deanne (Trotman), Chris Pluhowy, Kristine Trotman, Melanie (Van Eyk), Evan Haney, Nicole (Van Eyk), Kevin Lobert, Kylie Rae (Van Eyk), Steven Prasad, Aaron Van Eyk, Amber Jackson, Nicholas Martens and Jaclyn Martens; and her great grandchildren, Apollonia, Lucia, Eli, Emersyn, Linden, Eden, Isla, Ruby, Leah, Carmen, Charles and Theodosia.

Mom attended the Chilliwack Alliance Church and prior to COVID and her illness, enjoyed the fellowship she shared with the Morning Break ladies' group at church.

“I am sad to hear of Erna’s passing. She was a friend to me in 1966 when I came to Yarrow. We shared many times together both happy and sad, and although we haven’t seen each other since 2013, I will miss her. My heart goes out to Nick and their children, grandchildren and great grand children. I am sure she was the proudest of parent’s and grandparents. Bless you all♥️.”
