He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Firkus and Maria Firkus (Rawluk). He is survived by: his wife Winnifred; his brothers, Keith and Ron; his sons, Ray (Firkus Aircraft), Leonard and Paul; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle F., Kyle S., Don, Jason, Lauren, Caleb, Delaney and Lachlan. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Parkinsons Society or the Cancer Society.
