Liisa Johanna Harringon Obituary

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, Johanna Harrington, Mother, Grandmother, daughter and sister passed away suddenly at the age of 56 years.
Johanna will be forever remembered by her daughter (Deserea), parents (Kristina & Raimo), Niece’s (Natasha & Melissa) and grandchildren (Kylie, Emily & Madison) and the lives she touched at Central Heights Church.
Johanna (Liisa) and her twin sister Minna were born in Finland in a town called Tampere. Their family picked up and moved to Thunder Bay Ontario when they were only 2 years old.
Johanna got married in September of 1992 to Michael Harrington and had their only child, a daughter Deserea Harrington October 5, 1993.
Johanna was a Hairdresser for close to 40 years, she went back to school in her early 40’s to obtain her Provincial Instructors Diploma so she could teach the thing that meant so much to her, at the school board in Surrey.
Johanna and Michael eventually separated and divorced 17 years after marriage.
Her daughter eventually moved to Ontario with her fiancé (Stan) and their two daughters at the time (Kylie & Emily) to start their lives together. They eventually had a third daughter (Madison)
That’s when Johanna went looking for a new purpose in life, looking for people to fill her life with joy and love.
She would eventually come in contact with her new found family at Central Heights Church, she was turning her life around from a deep and dark place, from all the trauma and turmoil. She found purpose, love, a new identity to live by. She found God and all things Holy.
She is Resting in Peace and watching over her family.
