He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Mellott and Marion Mellott; and his siblings, Stanley (Marjorie), Ollene (Ray) and Geneva.
He is survived by: his wife Inez; his children, Darrell (Diane), Sharon (Peter) and Teresa Leah (Morgan); his grandchildren, Jaime (John), Carla (Jim) and Ansel (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Finlay, Rowan and Opal.
