With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Joyce McGinn (Courtenay, British Columbia). Barbara, born on March 17, 1932 in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Sharp and Joseph Sharp; her husband Lorne McGinn; and her son Douglas McGinn (Rhonda). She is survived by: her brother Joe Sharp; her daughters, Susan Hamp (Brian) and Debbie McGinn (Al Yablonski); her grandsons, Jim Hamp (Francine), Kevin Hamp (Valerie), Sean McGinn (Shannon), Kiel Yablonski (Laurie), Tavis McGinn and Keegan McGinn (Montana); and her great grandchildren, Ty Hamp, Clay Hamp (Katie), Ellyn Hamp, Mason Yablonski, James Hamp, Mya Yablonski, Scarlett McGinn and Douglas McGinn Jr. Goodbye.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Black Creek Community Church (7898 N Island Hwy, Black Creek, BC V9J1G5).
