It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene McMurtrie (Courtenay, British Columbia), who passed away on September 5, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Lavigne and Grace Lavigne; and her sisters, Evelyn and Frances. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Gary and Sandra (Cecil); and her siblings, Roy, Orville, Isabelle and Marianne. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations to the Alzheimer's Society of BC, in Irene's name, would be greatly appreciated.
