Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Szafron (Courtenay, British Columbia), born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan, who passed away at the age of 74, on November 19, 2018. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Dorothy. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Szafron; his children, Connie Gardiner (Tim), Corrie Gordon (Fred) and Chris Szafron (Laura); his grandchildren, Matthew Stuckenberg (Clarissa), Shaun Stuckenberg (Kayla), Charissa van Wieringen (Will John), Nico van Wieringen (Mikaela), Jena Stuckenberg and Dylan van Wieringen; his great grandchildren, Huxley, Sophie Stuckenberg and Avanna van Wieringen; and his siblings, Duane Szafron (Marie), Kevin Szafron (Marie) and Sharon Morin. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Comox Valley Hospital Foundation.
