He was predeceased by : his parents, John McGovern and Isabell McGovern; his siblings, John, Winnie, Joe, Ceille, Lee, Pat and Don; his former life partner Ann Welch; and his daughter Susan.
He is survived by : his wife Marg; his children, Brian (Deborah) and Cindi (Stewart); his grandchildren, Danaca (Ethann), Kevan and Ben (Alanna); his great grandchildren, Nakaiyya and Lilly-Ann; and his sister Gertrude. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
