As Douglas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Douglas leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Friesen and Isabelle Friesen (Eagle); his brother Daniel Friesen; his son Ryan Friesen Gladu; and his sister-in-law Paula Friesen.
He is survived by: his children, Beau Friesen (Jule) and Joelle Brisson (Ilya); and his siblings, Bev Bourbeau (Arthur), Kathy Beattie (Scott) and Dave Friesen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the New Jerusalem (9013 8th St, Dawson Creek, BC V1G3N3).
