He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Jan; his children, Lee Tutin (Patrick) and Greg Schmidt (Jody); his grandchildren, Steele, Tymber Schram, Tyler and Russ Schmidt; and his parents, Carl Schmidt and Leila Schmidt.

For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Gord to the Bear Mountain Ski Hill, PO Box 807, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, V1G 4H8, with proceeds directed towards helping kids learn to ski.
