He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Kayter and Elizabeth Kayter; his siblings, John Kayter, Joseph, Joe and Agnes Talling; and his parent-in-law Norma Burkmar.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Barbara Kayter (Kevin Beatty), Roberta Kayter, Andrea Kayter and Catherine Kayter; his grandchildren, Robert, Kenneth (Kathleen), Hannah, Jackson, Lindsay (Ben), Alex, Emile and Andie; his great grandchildren, Mariah, Benjamin, Aedyn, Walter and Linden; his siblings, Rosie Hardy (Paul) of Velma Focht, Steve Kayter (Shirley) and Albert Kayter (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Kayter, Donna Poirier (Ken), Sheila Hanan (Robert) and Jim Giebelhaus (Irene).

Donations in Andy's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cowichan Hospice Society which supports the Palliative Care Program.
