He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Kroek (Joop) of Victoria, BC. and Louise Kroek (Weitske); and his nephew Leland Kroek. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Jason (Lauren) and Jaime; his siblings, John (Sandra) and Jennifer (Paul); his nieces and nephews, Louie, Michael, Tyler, Bodie, Toni Marie, Roxanne and Sonjia; and his grandchildren, Ava, Ali, Kaiya, Roman, Waylon and Wrenley.
