He was predeceased by : his son Mark; his parents, Doris Woodfine and Samuel Woodfine; his parents-in-law, Nettie and Harry Hughes; and his brother-in-law Don Legg.

He is survived by : his pet Tilly; his daughter Jennifer Mercier (Tyler); his granddaughter Audrey; his daughter Karen Fortin (Jacques); the mother of his child Joan Garlough; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Alex) and Christian (Catherine); his great grandchildren, Jaxson and Emma Rose; and his siblings, Joan Legg, Enid Weiss (Rainer) and Neville Woodfine (Sandra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Friends of Fernie, Stars or Angel Flight East Kootenay.
