He is survived by: his wife Aline Borkowski; his children, Roxann German (Rick), Barry Borkowski and John Borkowski (JoAnne); and his grandchildren, Shane (Kelly), Dylan, Andrei and Connor. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

There will be no service as per Carl's wishes and in lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Carl's name to Angel Flight East Kootenay.
