He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Kearley and Annie Kearley; and his sisters, Margaret Hammond and Linda Kearley Delahunty. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Colin, Tracy (Miles Trieber) and David (Kaleisha Hall); his grandchildren, Annalisa, Austin, Olivia and Piper; and his brothers, Ken (Linda Jackman) and Ray (Jean Skehans). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honour may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
