We announce the death of John Cunliffe (Fernie, British Columbia), who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 78. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Jean, Myrna and Bob; his parents, John Hereford Cunliffe and Regina; and his close friend Jim Hicks.
