He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wasiewicz and Marjorie Elliott; his stepmother Marge Shypitka; and his siblings, Russell Waswick, John David, Verna and Doug.
He is survived by: his children, Stefanie, Derik and Dawn; his sisters, Pauline and Susan; his grandsons, Gavin and Grayson Waswick; his great grandchild Odessa Waswick; his nephew Rob Waswick; and his niece Sandy Waswick. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM and at 3:30 PM at the Elks Hall (491 1st Ave, Fernie, BC V0B1M0).
