He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Stephanie; his children, Whitney, Brendan and Ford; his grandchildren, Sailor and Daxtin; his mother Joan Hedrich; and his brother Jeff. He was also cherished by his numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Rick's generosity continues as the donation of his organs and tissue has helped others to have a better quality of life.
