He was predeceased by : his mother Edith; his sons, Douglas and Dale; his siblings, Ruth Riddell (Harold), Elizabeth Byggdin (Wallace), Isabelle Dahl (Martin), Hazel Belsher and Lawrence Evans; his brother-in-law Hans Schneider; and his wife Edith (Nordstrom).

He is survived by : his daughters, Marilyn Schellenberg (Meryl) and Sandy Randall (Greg); his grandchildren, Scott Schellenberg (Victoria), Twyla Criss (Jesse), Jillian Randall Nichols (Chris) and Kara Crosland (Nate); his great grandchildren, Gavin, Hunter, Hannah, Blake Schellenberg, Tessa, Luca, Willa Crosland, Scarlett and Elianna Criss; and his sister Dorothy Schneider. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends.
