He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Banta and Florence Banta; his wife Darlene; his stepfather Cliff Delage; and his siblings, Carl, Verna and Marie.

He is survived by: his daughter Glenda (Craig); his grandson Brett (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Kylie Rae and Jase Michael. He is also survived by other extended family and close friends.
