He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rains and Maggie Rains; and his brothers, Alan Rains of Lethbridge and Calvin Rains of Warner, Alberta.. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Nagel; his children, Lynden (Cathy), Penny (Gordon) and Kevin (Jean); his grandchildren, Derek, Brent, Brenna, Laura, Michael and Bryce; his great grandchildren, Avery, Mira, Tashi, Brielle, Maddison and Payton; and his former wife Effie Caston of Nelson.
