David Rolston Obituary
David Rolston passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 at the age of 83 years.
David is remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary; his children Heather (Bill) and Mike (Loni); his grandson Ben; his brother John (Elaine); his three nieces and his nephew.
Dave was a dedicated and highly respected high school biology teacher for 31 years, spending 29 of those at Brocklehurst Secondary School. Over time, wood carving grew to become one of Dave's great passions, and following his retirement from teaching, he turned that passion into a small business. As his health allowed, Dave and Mary travelled widely, exploring many parts of the world together. He also found great joy in gardening and cherished his time in nature. Those who knew him will fondly remember his dry wit and unmistakable sly chuckle….
Dave's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff on GT8 for the compassionate and attentive care they provided. They also wish to express their sincere appreciation to the care team at Kamloops MWS Hospice for their kindness and support during Dave's time with them.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, 360 Nicola Street in Kamloops, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, the Kamloops Hospice Association, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
