He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Boettger and Harry Boettger; his son Jim Boettger; his siblings, Betty Kolcun (Clarence), Glen Boettger (Georgina) and Laverne Boettger (Myrna); and his nephew Gordon Kolcun.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Boettger; his children, Delbert (France), Anne-Marie Letts (Mike) of Kamloops, Bob Boettger (Cathy) of Williams Lake and John Boettger (Lesley) of Kamloops; his grandchildren, Jeff Boettger (Ellen) of Sundre, AB, Ryan, Colin Hofstede (Alysha) of Kamloops, Thomas Boettger of Slave Lake, AB, Kevin and Michael Boettger of Kamloops; and his great grandchildren, Haylee Boettger, Hudsen Hofstede and Summer Hofstede.

Memorial donations may be made in Del's name to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
