We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2022, at the age of 86, Doreen Yvonne Marietta Sparks (Kamloops, British Columbia), born in Wildwood, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest William James Sparks (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Wade (Terri) of Okotoks, AB, Colin (Paulette) of Kamloops, BC and Cathie Chudyk (Darcy) of Armstrong, BC; her sister Marilyn Oldman (John); and her sister-in-law Flo Angeloff. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

“So very sorry to hear of Doreen passing. She was a great presence on E2, and a treasure for my mum Olive Ann Mitchell. Doreen would give me grief if she felt I hadn’t visited often enough, and I truly loved her for that. She was a lovely person who was deeply in love with her husband and enjoyed telling us about him. My mum passed in 2019. I’m sad Doreen had to experience the Covid shutdowns, something I was so grateful my own mum missed. ❤️ Karen Ellie”
