She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McDonald and Lois McDonald; her in-laws, Norman and Marjorie Gilbert; her siblings-in-law, Michael Gilbert, Doug Young, Mark Gilbert and Wendy Code; and her niece Laura Gelsvik.
She is survived by: her husband Brian Gilbert; her siblings, Linda Young, Kathy Brown (Brian) and Rob McDonald (Deborah); and her brother-in-law David Gilbert. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Kamloops Curling Club (700 Victoria St, Kamloops, BC V2C2B6).
In lieu of flowers Jean's family asks that you consider donations in her name to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.
