He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his siblings, Sarah, Edward and Henry; and his parents, Alfred Parshad and Phulmani Bahadar Singh.
He is survived by: his children, Gohar (Sabina), Rebecca (Faran), Tahir (Iona) and Rachel (Abiezer). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
