He was predeceased by: his siblings, Billy, Darrel, Blanche McKenzie, Merle Donchi and Doreen Stittle; and his brothers-in-law, Don McKenzie and Bob Stittle.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Shana Sotola (Mark) and Brent (Samantha); his grandchildren, Keegan Sotola, Kaelyn, Bryanna and Grayson Eckhart; his brother Bruce (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Marie Eckhart, Yvonne Houghtaling (Corey Peltz), Bernard Donchi and Randy Houghtaling (Kathy).
