He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh "Chug" Cecil Porter and Opal Fern Porter. He is survived by: his children, David Hugh of Kamloops, Daniel Bruce of Vancouver and Moira Leigh of Lethbridge; his wife Berna Blackstock; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Sara, Grace, Natalya, Sophia, Alex and Emma.
