He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesca Maria and Paolo Francesco; and his daughter Maria Teresa. He is survived by: his children, Francesca Ross (Kevin), Paola Bruno, Paul Bruno (Lara) and Joseph Bruno (Bianca); his grandchildren, Esme, Amara Ross, Mitchell, Lachlan Bruno and Siena Bruno; and his brother Jino Bruno (Maria Bruno).

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Michael's honor can be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of BC.
