Michiye Sawada Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2021, at the age of 77, Michiye Sawada in Kamloops, British Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dick; her parents, Shintaro Yamada and Kikuye Yamada; her siblings, Sho Yamada, Sumi Yamada and Nobuye Tatsumi (Kozo) of Japan; and her brother-in-law Tom Wakabayashi.
She is survived by: her sisters, Tomi Wakabayashi of Kamloops, Kaz Kitamura (Tak) of Quesnel and Fumiye Yamada (Hisao) of Japan; and her sister-in-law Kathy Yamada. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Donations can be made in her memory to the BC Cancer Society, Kamloops Japanese Canadian Association, Kamloops Buddhist Temple or a charity of your choice.
