Philip Bernier Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip Bernier (Kamloops, British Columbia), born in Edmonton, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2026 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn and Phil; and his siblings, Charles, Terry, Paul and Maureen.

He is survived by: his wife LaVerne; his children, Chelann Tobin (Chris) of Savona and Clint Bernier (Deena) of Logan Lake; his grandchildren, Nathan Tobin of Tofino, Stephanie Samoil (Mike) of Prince George, Tanner Tobin (Rylee) of Kamloops, Nicholas Bernier (Maddy) of Kamloops and Jordann Bernier (Brayden) of Prince George; his great grandchildren, Scottie and McKinnon Samoil; his siblings, Yvonne Wood (Jim) of Edmonton, Gwen Agate of Edmonton, Richard (Jacquie) of Kamloops and Roger (Cindy) of Edmonton; his sister-in-law Sharon Bernier of Lillooet; his extended family, Cody (Jordan) and Madi; and his close friend Garry Sigouin of Sidney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Memorial donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association.
