He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bennett and Ed Bennett; his wife Julia; and his siblings, Gabriel Larue, June Larue, Margaret Leonard, Louise DeGroot, Elizabeth Paulsen and Christine Tronson.

He is survived by: his sons, Darrell (Cody) and Barry (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Kennedy (Zac), Oscar, Bart (Hayden), Kiya and Denaya. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, including brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
