He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Woitas and Mathilda Woitas; and his brothers-in-law, John Dennehy, Lee Erickson and Raymond Gedak.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Joel Woitas and Julie Mensing (Rob); his siblings, Pat, Louise Dennehy, Lavonne Erickson and Bonnie Evans; and his siblings-in-law, Britt Gedak (Elaine) and Pat Gedak. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
