She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Stewart and Elizabeth Shepherd; her stepmother Lucienne Stewart; and her mother-in-law O'Linda Hansen. She is survived by: her husband Roman; her children, Stacey A. Willis of Kamloops, BC and Stewart J. Wunsch of Golden, BC; her grandchildren, Delray, Alexander and Margaret-Jean; her siblings, Barbara Petit (Mickey Pozdzik), JoAnn Coates, Mary Hartshorne (Brett), Donna Cave (Bob), Nancy McMillan (Gary Gardner), Ray Stewart and Charles Stewart (Kathleen); and also Mary Simpson. She is also survived by son (aunt), several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations in memory of Shirley can be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation or the BC Cancer Society.
