We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2026, at the age of 70, Verne Michael Smith (Kamloops, British Columbia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley and Alan; and his mother-in-law Brenda Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his stepson Iann; his children, Brock, Rebecca Paulson (Chris) and Sam (Abi); his siblings, Lynn Doroz (Dave) and Rick (Kerry); Daphne Goode and Diana Gordon (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given, if desired, to the SPCA (Verne loved animals).
